Reflecting...

As I was going through Graduate School, I was told it was important to be a 'Reflective Teacher.' I agree with this... as I have spent the past two in a half months as a 'real' teacher.

As I sit here waiting for Josh to come home from work - Black Friday and all - I decided to read a text from school about instruction, to see what I could find to help me.

As I was reading this text I came up with a good idea... which means of course before I create this curriculum (yes, I create most of my curriculum on my own) I ought to check blogs and possibly write.

Before I picked up the laptop, I was thinking about all of the things I am feeling, all of the things that are going on, all of the things I hate, all of the things I love... and then I came to the conclusion that I need a journal. Not a blog... well, not for some (most) things...

As I thought about what I want to talk about... I realized that I really shouldn't published most of them here. BUT I WANT TO GET IT OUT! ;)

I believe a blog is a good soundboard, as you don't need to have a specific audience; however, one must consider the consequences of publishing personal, business, or any other thing on the Internet.

As I am a Social Studies teacher I would stress the first amendment, HOWEVER, as a new employee to a district - I AM SMARTER THEN THAT!

As an English teacher, I am appalled at my poor sentence structure.

To all of us that get a 4 day weekend.. HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!

For those two people that have a birthday today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
