Wow

I have to talk about this...

So, I have some very witty, smart-butt students. I mean THEY ARE THE WORLD... and if you happen to say otherwise they are not very happy. I mean can you expect anything less from middle schoolers? Not really.

As I have begun to figure out how to "Ride the Wave" of emotions each and everyone of them have on a minute to minute basis, I have felt a bit more at ease during the normal classroom struggles. I have also grown a bit more tolerate. A Bit.

Until my hair is pulled. Yup, you read correctly. A student pulled my hair today. Now, for arguments sake she is a bit 'untamed' to say it politely. This action isn't really out of the ordinary for her, except it got physical. As I immediately called the office for an escort for her to be removed, the students were settling down. She stood there waiting for her escort, because she got what she wanted - out of class - and one on one attention from SOMEONE...

Except that SOMEONE wasn't coming... so she was getting annoyed... so the best action for her to do is take a sharp metal butterfly (of all things!) and throw it at my back, as I was paying attention to a student who actually wanted to learn! By throw, I mean whip... with all of her might... and I am pretty sure one of the winged points stuck into my back for a minute... SERIOUSLY.

I was so pissed off that I put one of my smart-butt students in charge of the class (because she was one of the ones I needed watched... and if she is busy... well you get the picture) and I stormed this student down the hall to the office myself. Luckily, the Admin I needed was right there and took her so I could go back to class.

The other students were in shock, but we managed to get a little more learning in before lunch.

Welcome back after a 4 day weekend. HAHA

**On a very positive note, my really good friends Brit and Bones welcomed their son Cole on Monday! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
