Hi, my name is Lindsey.
I have wanted to create a blog for years now, yet I have never felt it was the right time, or I had enough time, or even, enough to write about. I have decided like most events in ones life, there isn't a 'right time' or a 'right place' for anything to happen.
If you don't make it happen, it won't.
I am a reader, not a writer. If you ask many English teachers they will say they are one or the other. While I was student teaching this past school year, I was looked down on from my cooperating teacher because she was a writer and not a reader, and she felt my writing skills were poor. Well, guess what? The state of MN said that my writing skills are good! ha ha. She will never read this. I have found a new level of confidence in my writing skills. I am sure it has something to do with the MN Teaching Standards that I had to complete this year. With this requirement I had to write over 100 pages on what I have learned and have knowledge of about students, learning, teaching, planning, and about everything else that is under the sun.
I am a new teacher, and this is my blog.
I am so confident in my writing skills that my Mother and my Husband are the only ones with access to read my writing, but I believe that will change with time. Since I don't know what direction I am going to take with this blog - much like my thesis - I am going to use it as an outlet for everything that is going on with me and my life. When I don't know where to start with my thesis - this is where I will turn. When I can't sleep at night - this is where I will turn. And when I am at a loss for everything else - this is where I will turn.
Like many people in their twenties, I don't know where I am going, or where I will end up. This will be my outlet for the hamster's workouts.
