On Monday I received a phone call that I missed. It was St. Paul Public Schools. More importantly it was the Principal from the school I interviewed with last week. She left a message to call her back.
2.5 hours later of phone tag, she told me she wanted to hire me.
I signed my contract with St. Paul Public Schools today to be a full time Middle School English teacher! ;) Surprisingly, I will be making more money then I ever did while in the business world. Now, does this mean that I just worked for a crappy company that didn't pay me crap, or that the teaching world is catching up to the times. I would prefer to say they are catching up with the times!
On a Secondary note, my Mother and I went to see Wicked last night, and it was awesome! Honestly, I didn't know what it would be about until 20 minutes before the show, but it was amazing, and everyone should go and see it! The writer is very creative, and took some good liberations with the plot, but still made it believable with the original Wizard of Oz!
