I have about 18 days left of school - 17 if you don't count Memorial Day and then even less if you could all of the non-teaching days! As the year is ending - I find myself sitting on eggshells waiting to find out if I will be laid off or not. I was told by several people including HR that if I was going to be laid off I would find out this next week. A colleague told me that it is known that SPPS let's you know the Friday before Memorial Weekend - making it known as Black Friday... or something like that. I guess I don't care a whole lot, as I have been under the assumption that I WOULD be laid off as a first year teacher, but who knows... maybe I won't be. Either way, I just want to know.
Josh was able to get this weekend off of work and we had such a great and productive weekend. We did our Baby Registry (Babies R Us and Target), we cleaned out the fridge, we took Lady on at least three 45 minute walks, gave her a bath, I cleaned off the top of my dresser (catch-all), we went to the Farmers Market, grocery shopping, worked out, bought new running shoes, and almost got caught in a Tornado! All in all, I would say a pretty darn good weekend! Too bad he has to work Memorial Weekend!
